The Romans and ancient Greeks ate mixed greens with dressing. Salads, including layered and dressed salads, started to become popular in Europe with the Greek and Roman imperial expansions.
Carrot – 1 Medium (sliced)
Sweet Corn – 1 Small Bowl (100 g)
Moong Sprouts – 1 Medium Bowl (150 g)
Bell Peppers – 1 Medium (sliced)
Basil / Parsley Leaves – 1 – 2 Tbsps (finely chopped)
Black pepper – ¼ tsp (crushed)
Salt – as per taste
Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp
- Boil carrot & corn in a pan in salted water.
- In a bowl combine carrot, corn, moong sprouts, bell peppers, basil/parsley & keep aside.
- Cover & chill for 3 – 4 hours before serving.
- Add some lemon juice before serving.
